STORIES & SONGS OF STOMPIN' TOM

Since Whiskey Jack's inception 45+ years ago, their fans have been showering them with accolades, celebrating their songs and stories. But the one constant that has fueled their success is what brings the crowds to their feet each night - a polished show exuding charm, ease and playfulness. Since day one, band leader Duncan Fremlin has been welcoming elite members of the Canadian music community to the Whiskey Jack family.

Success took off in the 1980's when the band was invited to host their own "Ol' Back Porch" segment on CBC TV's Tommy Hunter Show. Then, when Stompin' Tom resumed his career, he called Duncan and invited Whiskey Jack to join him in the studio to record his acclaimed album, "Dr. Stompin' Tom... Eh?". These two Canadian musical institutions would continue to perform and record together until Tom's death in 2014.

Whiskey Jack in 2024 continues to write, record and tour across the country.

Today, Duncan is joined by two-time Juno nominee, Douglas John Cameron and Stompin' Tom's favourite fiddler, from PEI, Billy MacInnis. Douglas John is recognized across Canada for his 1985 hit, Mona With The Children (True North Records). That was soon followed by his weekly appearances on Ants in Your Pants (Treehouse TV). His theatrical and dynamic approach to performing, coupled with his talents on many instruments, bring an endless supply of energy to this already dynamic band.

Everyone who loves the legendary Guns N' Roses will know the GUNSLINGERS absolutely rock and deliver the goods! If you are a GN’R fan, you will not be disappointed, as they will play the songs you all know and love! Playing songs from Guns N’ Roses four main albums: Appetite for Destruction, GN’R Lies and Use your illusions I & II.

The Gunslingers are not a clone band or impersonators as most Guns N’ Roses tributes are, instead of wearing wigs and copying moves they put all of their effort and focus in representing Guns ‘N Roses music at its best and playing their songs with great accuracy, passion and dedication. They are huge fans, and we will make sure you get the best GN’R experience possible.

The show follows the brothers’ rise to fame from humble country beginning to superstardom, through their decade-long feud to their glorious reunion which gave them back to each other, and back to the world.

With “harmonies from heaven” that in?uenced The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Simon & Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers were unmatched in their talent. Also featuring songs from a couple of the Everly Brothers’ good friends, Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison.

The Irelands are a musical merging of creative minds, fusing together influences stemming from classic rock, moody folk, pop and gritty blues. Married members, Emerson and Cheryl Ireland combine their love of music and each other to create an idiosyncratic, authentic and thoroughly emotive musical experience- while taking the audience on a musical journey that blurs the lines between generations and genres. You can expect to hear a great deal of vocal harmonies, textured guitar leads, foot stomping percussion.

The Irelands seek to encapsulate the audience in a sonic journey that draws from nostalgia- while presenting something modern, energetic, and heart felt.

Emerson and Cheryl have been playing together (formally as the Irelands since 2017), performing well over 150 shows per year, with their various projects including The Emerson Ireland Band, The Autumn Smoke and newly-formed project, Hemlock Electric.

Floydium is a Toronto based band dedicated to recreating the sound and majesty of the best of the Pink Floyd collection. Our shows are a trip back to the psychedelic days of Pink Floyd from the Syd Barrett era to the band's eventual breakup.

RICHARD FORGET'S PURE MAGIC 2024

As many of you may know, our very own Richard Forget was an accomplished magician before he became a top real estate agent and a valued member of The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team.  He’s travelled the world performing his, shall we say, “magic!”  And now he’s scheduled to do an afternoon show at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa on Sunday October 27^th.  I’ve seen him before, and he’s real good.  I’d say he’s just as good a magician as he is an agent, and if you’ve been lucky enough to have Richard as your agent, you’ll know what I mean.
